Glass is our starting point. When a glass model does not fit your kitchen, these stainless-steel and manufacturer-documented PFAS-free ceramic alternatives make the tradeoff visible.
“PFAS-free” means the manufacturer currently makes that claim for the named surface or product. It does not mean every component is glass, metal, or free of every chemical.

Air frying can reduce the oil needed for crisp foods, but the appliance itself is not a health treatment. Our material comparison is about food-contact surfaces, visibility, cleanup, durability, and disclosure quality.
Glass is easiest to understand because it is an uncoated cooking vessel. Ceramic can be a practical compromise when a buyer wants nonstick release and a manufacturer documents PFAS-free construction. Stainless steel can be durable and coating-free, but food can stick and “stainless steel exterior” does not prove the basket is uncoated.
