Fritaire glass air fryer review
Fritaire review: visibility, cleaning, and the tradeoffs.

Fritaire is worth considering if seeing food cook and using rotating accessories appeal to you. Its removable hot lid and bowl-cleaning routine deserve as much attention as the advertised features. It will not feel like a drawer-style air fryer.

The “9-in-1” label combines food presets, accessory uses, and cleaning. It is not evidence of nine different heating systems or better cooking results than a model with fewer buttons.
What self-cleaning does, and what remains
The cycle washes the bowl; you still need to remove food, deal with accessories, empty the water, and rinse. We have not tested its effectiveness on baked-on grease.
- Allow the appliance to cool before preparing it for cleaning, following your manual. Remove food and accessories.
- Fritaire describes using 1–2 inches of water and a small amount of mild dish soap, then running the closed unit at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- Let the bowl cool before emptying it, then rinse and wipe as instructed. Keep electrical parts out of water.

The manufacturer FAQ lists stainless-steel accessories as dishwasher-safe, but excludes the glass bowl, burner lid, motor, and electrical parts. The bowl uses the self-cleaning routine instead. A “dishwasher-safe accessories” claim should not be read as permission to put the whole appliance in a dishwasher.
Rotisserie limits matter more than bowl volume
Fritaire's instructions set a 1.5-pound maximum for the rotisserie spit. Do not assume a large whole chicken is suitable because it appears to fit the bowl. Check accessory loading instructions.
The published tumbler limits conflict: the FAQ recommends no more than 0.5 kg, while the usage page lists 2 pounds. Ask Fritaire to confirm the limit for your supplied accessory rather than using the larger number. FAQ limit / usage-page limit.
The motor uses four AAA batteries according to the FAQ. Include accessory setup and separate cleaning in your decision; rotating food is a different routine from pulling out a basket to shake it.
Counter space, handling, and ownership
Measure both the appliance footprint and a safe place for the hot lid. The usage guide calls for a heat-resistant surface and at least 20 cm of clearance on all sides. Follow the instructions supplied with your unit, including cooling and safe handling. Placement guidance.
Before buying, get written confirmation of replacement-bowl availability and the warranty that applies to your seller and model. Fritaire's site uses different return and warranty language across pages; a return window should not be treated as the product warranty. Contact Fritaire.
We would shortlist it for someone who values the bowl view and will use its accessories. We would look elsewhere if lifting a lid or handling a glass bowl is awkward. Compare the Ninja container system or the Cuisinart drawer-style option; Ninja is not a drawer-style substitute.

We would want hands-on evidence of even browning, loaded-bowl handling, and cleanup before calling it the best performer. Our recommendation here is about whether its design fits your routine.
